Age Limit:
- Candidates should be born between 01st January 2005 and 01st July 2008 (both dates inclusive).
- The upper age limit for enrollment should be 21 years on the date of enrollment, provided the candidate clears all stages of the selection procedure.
Educational Qualification:
- Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent with Mathematics, Physics, and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
- Alternatively, candidates with a Diploma in Engineering (Relevant Branch) from a recognized institution are also eligible.
Physical Standards:
To qualify for the Agniveer Vayu position, candidates must meet specific physical standards. Below are the key criteria for male and female candidates:
- Height:
- For Male Candidates: 152 cm
- For Female Candidates: 152 cm (Candidates from North East and hilly regions may have a reduced minimum height of 147 cm. For Lakshadweep candidates, the minimum height is 150 cm.)
- Weight: Should be proportionate to height and age.
- Chest:
- For Male Candidates: Minimum chest measurement should be 77 cm with an expansion of 5 cm.
- For Female Candidates: Chest should be well-proportioned with a minimum expansion of 5 cm.
- Hearing: Must be normal, i.e., the candidate should be able to hear a forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters in each ear separately.
- Dental: Healthy gums and a good set of teeth with a minimum of 14 dental points.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT-1 & PFT-2):
Candidates will undergo two stages of physical fitness tests as follows:
- PFT-1:
- For Male Candidates: A 1.6 km run to be completed within 7 minutes.
- For Female Candidates: A 1.6 km run to be completed within 8 minutes.
- PFT-2: This test will include the following exercises, to be completed in the given times:
- For Male Candidates:
- 10 Push-ups in 1 minute.
- 10 Sit-ups in 1 minute.
- 20 Squats in 1 minute.
- For Female Candidates:
- 10 Sit-ups in 1 minute 30 seconds.
- 20 Squats in 1 minute.
- For Male Candidates:
Visual Standards:
- Visual Acuity: 6/12 in each eye, correctable to 6/6 in each eye.
- Maximum Refractive Error Limits:
- Hypermetropia: +2.0D
- Myopia: -1D, including ±0.50 D Astigmatism
- Colour Vision: CP-II
